About CONNECT-ED

CONNECT-ED Lab is an academic and collaborative laboratory within the Department of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB).
The Lab brings together academics, researchers, educators and students interested in building meaningful connections between educational research, professional practice and international cooperation.
CONNECT-ED provides a collaborative space for developing research ideas, educational initiatives and international partnerships, with a particular interest in evidence-based education, teacher education, educational innovation and the challenges faced by education in contemporary societies.
Its network currently brings together members from worldwide countries, as: Romania, Canada, Germany, India, Lithuania, Portugal, Sweden, and USA.

Mission

CONNECT-ED aims to create an open, collaborative and internationally connected academic environment in which researchers, educators and students can connect, exchange ideas, develop knowledge and transform research into meaningful educational initiatives.
The Lab promotes collaboration across institutions, countries and disciplines and encourages initiatives that strengthen the connection between educational research and practice.

What We Do

Research Projects: Develop national and international research initiatives and collaborative research projects.
International Cooperation: Build academic partnerships and support European and other international cooperation initiatives.
Joint Publications: Connect researchers interested in collaborative papers, special issues, books and other academic publications.
Conferences, Seminars and Workshops: Organise and contribute to academic events addressing current research topics and educational challenges.
Teacher Education Initiatives: Develop activities, resources and programmes supporting initial and continuing teacher education.
Communities of Practice: Create opportunities for researchers, educators, students and practitioners to exchange experiences, ideas and resources.
Research-Practice Connections: Encourage dialogue between academic research, educational practice and evidence-informed educational decision-making.

Collaboration

CONNECT-ED is open to collaboration with universities, research centres, schools, educational organisations and other partners interested in developing joint research, educational initiatives, professional development activities or international projects.
We welcome proposals for institutional partnerships, collaborative research, joint events, academic mobility and other initiatives that connect people, research and educational practice.
